Mom First

I am mom to five amazing kiddos. I breastfed them all for a total of 13 years, one of my greatest accomplishments! Together we journeyed through so much: tongue ties (x3!), mastitis, candida overgrowth, triple feeding, infant allergies, tandem nursing and was a breastmilk donor. I have walked the same journey as all of you and I am here to share all the tips with evidence based information that will help you to thrive in your new role!

Lactation Consultant

I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), CLC & PPD, and have worked with hundreds of families over several thousands of hours. I am passionate about changing the face of postpartum care in this country by caring for moms' mental and emotional needs along with their lactation needs. For this reason I am trained in a variety of disciplines to support them on their journey.

* Tethered Oral Tissue (TOTs) trained

* Postpartum doula training and scope

* BS in Speech and Language Pathology

* Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL)

Insurance Options

I am partnered with The Lactation Network (TLN), which provides insurance covered expert breastfeeding support for mothers and babies. They accept several insurance options, including:

Anthem PPO/POS (no FEP)
BCBS PPO/POS
Humana PPO/POS
PNOA PPO
United Healthcare (UHC)
VA CCN-Optum East

The Lactation Network also contracts with Multiplan, a third party administrator who works with several insurers. Regardless of your primary carrier, if you have the Multiplan logo on your insurance card, you may be approved.
